Festival of Lights   Through Jan. 6
A free, six-week-long holiday extravaganza featuring one of the nation’s largest holiday light collections. 200 animated figures including angels, elves and Dickens carolers; appearances by Santa Claus, the world’s largest man-made mistletoe, horse-drawn carriage rides, elf tuck-ins, freshly fallen snow, elaborately decorated Christmas trees; and delectable holiday confections at the famous Casey’s Cupcakes, among other festive offerings.

Garth Guy (Garth Brooks Tribute)   Jan. 4
Stemming from an admiration of Garth Brooks’ immense talent and love of his music, Dean Simmons creates an electrifying concert experience paying tribute to this beloved modern country music icon. Endorsed by Garth Brooks himself, he will have you doing a double take as you witness the remarkable resemblance.

The Dustbowl Revival   Jan. 5
Based in Venice, California, The Dustbowl Revival merges old school bluegrass, gospel, pre-war, blues and the hot swing of New Orleans to form a spicy roots cocktail. Known for their roaring live sets, Dustbowl bravely blends Dixieland jazz, Delta blues, New Orleans swing, and East Coast bluegrass.

YESplace Murder Mystery Dinner   Jan. 5
The YESplace (Young Entrepreneur Success place) is a non-profit organization in Murrieta that helps youth aged 12-25 start businesses through seminars, mentoring, and radio and television shows. Riverside County Homeless Count   Jan. 23
500 volunteers are needed to count and survey homeless persons living on the streets within their communities. Volunteers must attend a training session where they will receive instructions on conducting the count and on important safety guidelines. Information collected from the count and survey is required to continue receiving federal funding for homeless programs, to develop strategies to end homelessness, and to help homeless children and families who are in need.

Amateur MMA Tryouts   Jan. 27
