New food options coming to Menifee soon!

By: Bill Gould for Menifee Buzz

One thing many new local residents notice after unpacking the moving truck; is a lack of restaurants in the area, specifically in Menifee. This is about to change in a big way this fall. Many residents have seen the two big buildings being constructed in the Menifee Countryside Marketplace shopping center at the corner of Newport Road and Haun Road. A few of you have even sent me email asking for details, well here you go!

The first is BJ’s Brewhouse. It is the larger of the two buildings, sitting alongside Haun road. BJ’s is set to open in the fall. It features an open, fun atmosphere with TV’s, a large bar area, and a huge dining room. BJ’s is a great place to go with friends and family because of the variety of food on the menu, including options for vegetarians and people requiring a gluten free diet. The chains’ signature dessert item, the Pizookie, is always a great way to end a meal.

The smaller building next to In-N-Out is set to be Panera Bread and open in a few months. This is a terrific place to go and grab a bite to eat during work. If you like bread and soup, this is a place for you. They have a different tasty soup available every day, sandwiches and many coffee drinks to choose from. Most locations have comfortable outdoor seating and provide wi-fi access to customers.

Just outside the city limits there is a ‘food gem’ worth mentioning. Near the corner of Canyon Hills and Railroad Canyon Roads there is a great little Italian place called Grapes and Tomatoes. The place isn’t huge on the inside, but has a great outdoor patio. After the sun sets behind the hills you will find folks enjoying a bottle of wine and some fine food, and for good reason, the evenings are perfect for socializing with friends.

With the continued growth of our young city, there are bound to be great spots to eat that I don’t know about, if so - send me a message. Until next time; have a great summer!
