Inland Empire: Payless Shoes in bankruptcy? No more BOGO? Here are some details...

Temecula, CA - Many people have heard about the Payless ShoeSource bankruptcy filing this week. In the wake of the bankruptcy announcement, the Payless main office has released a list of some 400-ish stores scheduled to close.

Now I admit, 400 stores seems like a lot of locations will be closing. Sounds bad. However, before you freak out and think you will never see another BOGO sale, keep in mind the following:

Payless Shoes has over 4000 stores, they are only closing about 10% of their locations in the USA.

OK, now that you have taken a deep breath and realized that Payless is not going away completely, the bad news for a few folks here in the Inland Empire is that a few locations will be closing.
